Founders
Nobody at a seed-stage company has a schedule; they have a queue. You are the queue. Investors, hires, customers, the co-founder who needs an answer by tonight. The intro call for this one usually happens at 9 p.m., which is the point.
The block is built around one question: which hour of the day is yours, and what would it take to keep it. It sounds small. It is the hardest thing on this page, because the company will take the hour back every week and you will let it. So we practice not letting it, one week at a time, and we look at what actually broke when you did not answer by tonight.
By session six the hour is usually there, and so is a list of things that turned out not to need you. That list becomes the first hire.
